5.65'' 7 color EPD 600*448 reflective E-paper display EPD Module original
Product Description
An e-paper display, also known as an electronic paper display or e-ink display, is a type of display technology that mimics the appearance of ink on paper. It provides a low-power, reflective display that is readable even in bright sunlight, making it suitable for various applications such as e-readers, digital signage, electronic shelf labels, and smartwatches.
E-paper displays use tiny microcapsules containing charged white and black particles suspended in a clear fluid. These microcapsules are sandwiched between two transparent electrodes, with a layer of circuitry behind them. When a positive or negative electric field is applied to the electrodes, the charged particles move, causing the microcapsules to either appear white or black.
Unlike traditional displays that emit light, e-paper displays rely on ambient light to illuminate the screen. This means they don't require a backlight, leading to significantly lower power consumption. Once an image is displayed on the screen, it remains visible even when the power is turned off because the display technology is bistable, meaning it retains the image without using any power until the next update.
